In this episode of Relevance For Today, we dive into Mark chapters 11 and 12 using the World English Bible. We see Jesus enter Jerusalem, cleanse the temple, teach through parables, answer difficult questions, and remind us of the importance of loving God and loving others.

The Message

Authority! — The power or right to give orders and enforce obedience.

As Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds welcomed Him with shouts of “Hosanna!” Shortly afterward, Jesus entered the temple and drove out those who were buying and selling.

When the religious leaders questioned His authority, Jesus challenged them and continued teaching the truth.

But here's something important for us to remember:

Jesus Christ isn't just someone we read about — He is our Lord and Savior!

If we call Jesus Lord, we also need to let Him have authority in our lives. That means listening to His teachings, obeying God's Word, loving God, loving others, and being willing to examine our own hearts.

So, let's ask ourselves:

Are we truly allowing Jesus Christ to be Lord over every area of our lives?

Let's honor Him not only with our words, but also in how we live.
